BIBLIOTECA PÚBLICA: centro de informação e difusão cultural na cidade de Baependi MG

Abstract

The present work has as main objective the development of a public library in the city of Baependi, Minas Gerais, to serve the entire population, with the purpose of encouraging culture, providing information of easy access, education and also leisure for all. The main reason for this project is the absence of a building with this use within the city, of a public character that can be used in the idle time of all citizens, and also by the lack of incentive to culture and education. In order to carry out this work, it was necessary to study the history of the library, its function, the current panorama in which it is found, the parameters and design guidelines and the project references for the consummation of the idea. With this work it is hoped to change the library design that people have through architecture, and encourage and motivate children to the elderly to attend the library in order to show the importance of this building for society as a whole and for citizens individually.
