ANÁLISE E PROPOSTA DE SOLUÇÕES PARA MINIMIZAR AS INUNDAÇÕES DO CÓRREGO JARDIM DE ELÓI MENDES

Abstract

The floods of streams occur mainly due to the way in which urban drainage is neglected in cities and the waterproofing of surfaces that produce increased runoff. The study of floods in urban areas is of great importance, due to the impacts they have on commercial activities, services, disruption of transport and the flooding of residential areas. On this theme, it refers to floods caused by the high rate of rainfall, which, in turn, leads to its overflow; the expansion of housing within the hydrographic basin can also lead to an increase in the volume of streams and rivers. Based on this concept, a study was carried out on the problem of flooding, which has been occurring at Córrego Jardim in the city of Elói Mendes. All the contribution area of ​​the basin was surveyed, the pluviometric intensity of the place, the occupancy rate of the place, the channel section, the water flow and the slope of the terrain were the object of study, to make an analysis referring to the situation in that the problem is found. Then, a survey will be carried out, in order to carry out all the opinion as to what is the best way to resolve the issue.
