PARÂMETROS HEMATOLÓGICOS EM PACIENTES HIV/AIDS SUBMETIDOS À TERAPIA ANTIRETROVIRAL

Abstract

Today, with the advancement of research related to the development of new technologies and alternatives to ensure health and well-being, there are drugs that are used as antiretroviral therapy, but which do not present information that can clarify adverse effects, such as alterations in the hematological and immunological level. This work seeks to organize the existing information on hematological changes and changes in the hematological profile detected in HIV / AIDS patients prepared for antiretroviral therapy using drugs from the class of nucleoside and non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors and protease inhibitors. Studies show that the cells most affected by HIV are TCD4+ lymphocytes. Reports of anemia, lymphocytopenia, neutropenia and thrombocytopenia are currently the main hematological abnormalities found in HIV-infected patients who use antiretroviral drugs. Reinforcing the trend of new studies that develop and associate existing drugs to fight the HIV virus, minimizing the undesirable effects of AIDS.
