REFLEXÕES SOBRE INTERNET: e suas consequências

Abstract

This academic paper has the purpose to analyze the web role in the democratization of information and communication and reflect about two different points of view in this matter. In one side, some believe that the web democratized the communication, because it allows that any user can be issuer of his own messages, decentralizing the power that had belonged the great media, who decided which product would he transmitted on the communications channel previous the internet, as radio and television: in the point of view, the web is just another communication media dominated by the capital, which actually changed the way of do communication, but did not make a revolution on the process where a minority keeps controlling the information of the majority.
