PROJETO DE EDIFICAÇÕES UTILIZANDO PAINÉIS PRÉ-FABRICADOS: Análise comparativa entre o método construtivo convencional e o modular na Engenharia Civil

Abstract

This work makes a comparative analysis between the conventional and the modular construction method in Civil Engineering. Such an approach is justified due to the high costs and generation of waste from civil construction. The objective of this research consisted of an investigation of other construction methods that can meet the housing needs, without compromising the quality, strength and safety of the building. Among the existing methods, the chosen one was the modular one with the use of prefabricated panels with steel structure. This task was possible through bibliographic research, including materials from companies and architects, as well as the comparative study of a type project made with two companies, one in the conventional system and the other with the modular system. The analysis showed that the modular construction system is more expensive, but has budget predictability, without extra costs and faster to execute compared to the conventional masonry system. It also showed that the construction professional needs to consider the feasibility before providing a new construction method and choose, together with his client, what is rewarding in terms of schedule and budget.
