PROJETO DE APROVEITAMENTO DE ÁGUAS PLUVIAIS PARAA ESCOLA MUNICIPAL ÁGUAS VERDES DE BOA ESPERANÇA- MG

Abstract

Water is vital for all humans and its conscientious use is an issue of increasing relevance in the architecture, engineering and construction markets. Environmental awareness has been gradually introduced through projects for the use and reduction of this natural resource. In this context, the development of this work has as its main objective to propose a project for the use of rainwater for the Municipal School Águas Verdes located in the rural area of the municipality of Boa Esperança-MG. At first, a bibliographic study was carried out on the methodologies for using rainwater and the necessary technical standards. Subsequently, studies were carried out to determine the region's historical precipitation series, the project's contribution area and the population served. Based on the data found, it was possible to partially dimension the rainwater harvesting system, determining the precipitation intensity, the project flow, vertical and horizontal conductors and estimating the non-drinking water demand of the school and its useful volume. Therefore, it is understood that the use of rainwater, in addition to being a sustainable option, brings great benefits to society
