ANÁLISE DE RESULTADOS DE CALIBRAÇÃO DE TRENAS E SEUS IMPACTOS NO PROCESSO DE MEDIÇÃO

Abstract

This course conclusion work is based on a case study on the analysis of the results of calibration of measuring tapes and their impacts on the measurement process, for which some steps are approached until the conclusion, such as a research on metrology and its history, the measuring tapes and their construction norm, what the norms say about the calibration process and metrological control, and finally the analysis of the results of the calibrations of measuring tapes and comparative tests between different operators and measurements in order to prove what they propose. The approach is justified because a certain company in the automobile industry has in its metrological system about 125 measuring tapes calibrated annually, these annual calibrations generate financial resources and time of labor to be used in the search, calibration and return of these equipment’s to their respective sectors, generating significant impacts on the work routine, in addition to financial costs. The objective of this course conclusion work is to demonstrate that even if the validity period of the calibration certificates is extended from one to three years, the company's measurement system will not suffer any type of negative impact. The research together with the analyzes proved that it is possible to extend the validity of the certificates without generating a negative impact on the measurement system and on the reliability of the results found, thus bringing effective gains in the reallocation of resources previously destined only for the measuring tapes to other instruments and activities within the department.
