PROJETO DE APROVEITAMENTO DE ÁGUA DE CHUVA PARAA ESCOLA ESTADUAL PADRE JOSÉ RIBEIRO DA CIDADE DE SANTANA DA VARGEM - MG

Abstract

This work deals with a project related to systems for the use of water from the rain. This approach is justified by the fact that water utilization systems are tools with a high capacity to mitigate floods, to combat the lack of water and to reduce financial expenses, in addition to contributing significantly to the preservation of the environment. Therefore, the objective of this study is to verify if a fundraising project of rainwater for an educational institution is economically viable, considering that the chosen school is the Padre José Ribeiro State School, located in the municipality of Santana da Vargem - MG, which is a model and very old institution in the city. Being that at the end of the study it was found that a rainwater harvesting project would be something economically viable to be implemented in the school, generating savings in monthly expenses and reducing the environmental impact, in addition to helping raise the awareness of children who attend the institution. The school was chosen for the elaboration of the project because it is an institution with a favorable roof area where you have a larger roof area a larger volume of water can be captured.
