A ALFABETIZAÇÃO CIENTÍFICA NA EDUCAÇÃO INFANTIL E OS PROJETOS INVESTIGATIVOS

Abstract

This work addresses issues related to scientific literacy in early childhood education and the possible contributions of the use of investigative projects in science teaching. Such an approach is due to the questioning about the possibility of initiation to science for children. It aims to identify and describe the importance of scientific literacy for children from zero to five years old. For the accomplishment of this purpose, a bibliographic review will be carried out in articles and published works on the subject. The study showed that despite being young, children have the ability to think about aspects related to the physical and social world. It is important that they are encouraged to research, question, raise hypotheses, agree, deny, thus enlivening their capacity for creation, imagination in the face of natural phenomena, in a flexible network of knowledge. Regarding the practice of investigative projects, it was found that the use of this methodology can contribute to the improvement of the learning process, the ability to arouse the pleasure of discovering knowledge.
