CAPS L.I.A. - A Aliança entre Saúde Mental e as Artes

Abstract

The importance of preserving mental health is increasingly present in everyone's daily lives, considering all the achievements and the fight for the rights to spaces with humanized treatments, leaving the old hospices and asylums behind. Because of this, the following work represents the elaboration of one of these spaces, a CAPS I for the municipality of Campanha-MG, in a building where, in addition to conventional therapies, it also makes use of the arts with a therapeutic element. Being made especially to shelter people with anxiety disorders, psychic suffering, their families and attract the community to remain active in the place. The process achieved in the face of a study on how psychiatry worked in Brazil and the typologies used to receive users until the implementation of all CAPS modalities, also researching the ways of relating to the arts and architecture as a form of therapy assisting in the treatments and thus making the patients have a greater adherence to the building. Also happening is the search for a terrain and its analysis and diagnosis in order to comply with all legislation and being easily accessible, in addition to the search for project references that dialogue with this terrain and with the study carried out previously. Finally, it defines the design proposal for a better implementation of CAPS L.I.A.
