A IMPORTÂNCIA DA ASSISTÊNCIA PRESTADA PELA EQUIPE DE ENFERMAGEM AO PACIENTE NA PREVENÇÃO DA LESÃO POR PRESSÃO

Abstract

This study addresses the importance of the assistance provided by the nursing team to the patient in the prevention of pressure injury, justified by the importance of the prevention that must be performed to avoid pressure injury and aggravations. The objective of this study is to investigate the use of nursing care systematization (SAE), to discover the difficulties encountered by nursing in applying prevention strategies in Pressure Injury, to analyze scientific knowledge about pressure injury. This is a qualitative, described and transversal research carried out through the content analysis of Bardin, which consists of the interpretation, organization and systematization of textual content obtained through the interviews, through an interview script applied to nurses in a surgical clinic of a general hospital in the south of Minas Gerais, audio interviews were recorded and transcribed for analysis. The study included 5 nurses who fit the criteria for inclusion in the study. The results indicate that nursing has sufficient knowledge to prevent an LP, but not enough knowledge about the new classification as amended in the NPUAP in 2016. In addition, it was not possible to verify the use of SAE and risk scales, anamnesis, daily physical examination , the involvement of the multidisciplinary team. Finally, the importance of permanent education in the training of the nursing team and the development of an LP prevention protocol that demonstrates the value of this practice and that guides the professionals in times of difficulties, strategies that allow the prevention of LP.
