CONTROLADORIA NO BANCO DO BRASIL: uma breve caracterização

Abstract

Growing business competitiveness has been contributing to the change of cultures and the implementation of new management practices. In this way, the Controllership area in the companies assumes relevant importance, because the generating center brings information that guides decisions, business, and evaluates the results. Each economic segment, by its characteristics, ends up developing attributions that generate specific Controllership models, such as the case of financial institutions. This work comprised a comparative characterization of Controllership as a science (concepts, functions and organizational structure) and the model found in the financial institution object of the analysis: Banco do Brasil S / A. The exhibition also included a brief history of the institution studied and described the main attributions and functions of its Controllership. As a fundamental contribution, this article sought to demonstrate that the Banking Controllership aims to broaden the strategies and tools of management decision-making in the face of the need for immediate directions to solve and optimize the scope of its business, taking into account the multiplicity of services and products offered customers.
