Abstract

This work deals with the reflection on the importance of awakening the taste for the study of mathematics to pedagogical practice. Such an approach seeks to understand and interpret the history of mathematics, the socioeconomic context in which it was built and its evolutionary process over time. It is a comprehensive issue that raises questions about it, and that requires change of attitude in the educational process. The objective of this work is to make the teaching of mathematics presented in schools today, through the search for new ways and new methods, more pleasant, creative and demystify the idea that mathematics is exclusive of a privileged few who has aptitude for learning. Present a continuous process of intervention that allows to minimize the aversion that students have about mathematics. This purpose will be achieved from a literature review and research that sought to analyze the causes and give suggestions for solving the problem. You should always take into consideration that mathematics education, in addition to integrating the individual in society, gives you the autonomy to interfere with the environment where it is inserted, since mathematics is part of human history and is built from the experiences lived and needs of each era. This line of research of mathematics education aims to understand and recognize the baggage of knowledge of the student, taking into account their mathematical thinking, their culture, and the environment they live in.
