ANÁLISE DOS ASPECTOS DE ENGENHARIA INERENTES À EFICIENTIZAÇÃO ENERGÉTICA DA CIDADE UNIVERSITÁRIA – UNIS MG

Abstract

This work aims to systematically evaluate the engineering parameters related to energy efficiency in buildings, an important theme knowing that the growing scarcity of natural resources caused by population growth and an irrational consumption considerably affects the availability of energy for the current era. After carrying out a bibliographic research and case study, the parameterization is applied indicating the current levels of energy efficiency, and highlighting the possible improvements to improve the site, both in relation to comfort, as a reduction in consumption and financial savings. Through the implementation of new technologies, coupled with strict legislation and a change of habits of the population, the apex of efficiency is sought. The chosen location for the implantation is the University City campus of the University Center of the South of Minas - UNIS MG, located in Varginha, Minas Gerais. After carrying out the current evaluation of the level of energy efficiency, we looked for alternatives that would maximize this process. Thus, the proposed system reduces an average of 13% of total consumption, through the insertion of renewable sources of energy generation, improvement in equipment technologies and consumer awareness processes. Another point presented is the improvement of the level of efficiency of a pilot building, through the labeling process, going from level C to level A.
