ESTUDO DE VIABILIDADE DO APROVEITAMENTO DA ÁGUA DE CHUVA EM INDÚSTRIAS NO MUNICÍPIO DE VARGINHA

Abstract

It is known that water is an indispensable resource for human existence. With population and industrial evolution, the need to conserve water resources becomes an important factor for everyone. This work aims to verify the possibility of using rainwater in industry in the municipality of Varginha-MG, in order to reduce the consumption of drinking water and replace it with rainwater in places of secondary use, such as eg in yard washing, irrigation and use for flushing toilets. Rainfall data, industry consumption data, source of supply and catchment area were collected. In the course of this work analyzes were made looking at the environmental side, demanding less from the environment, seeking its preservation, and looking at the economic side, where the reduction of the use of water extracted from nature, coming from public supply, generates financial savings for companies and recognition in the labor market.
