Abstract

This course completion paper focuses on comparing two deep foundations, one already dimensioned and one in dimensioning. Prior to the development of a foundation project, the engineer must obtain all necessary and possible site information regarding the implementation, study the different viable solutions, analyze the executive process, estimate their costs and, finally, decide on the technical and technical feasibility. of its execution. For this, a case study was made, in which two types of foundations of a model building will be studied: Strauss pile and precast pile. In this study, we seek to verify the existing foundation, Strauss pile, as well as its advantages and restrictions, to know the loads acting on the building and remove the ground information necessary for the design of the other foundation under study, precast pile, through from the SPT real sounding bulletin of a mixed four-story underground building located in the center of Elói Mendes. The proposed methodology uses the Aoki-Velloso method. (1975) for the geotechnical allowable load sizing of the foundation proposed by the author, but for sizing the pile quantity per actual design block the structural allowable pile load provided by the project executing company was used.
