ESTUDO DA ACESSIBILIDADE E MOBILIDADE URBANA NA REGIÃO CENTRAL DO MUNICÍPIO DE ELÓI MENDES-MG

Abstract

This work addresses the improvement in accessibility and mobility for the population of the municipality of Elói Mendes in the south of Minas Gerais in some neighborhoods to the center. The city was designed without proper accessibility instructions and therefore has narrow streets, access ramps that are outside ABNT. This makes it very difficult for the mobility of disabled people and people with some locomotor difficulties. Accessibility and mobility need to be together and for everyone in general, as a way of coming and going without something that prevents the population from getting around and that has quality in transport and also in urban mobility. With this, the work addresses the ways to identify accessibility issues in the municipality, aiming at improvements in the flow in the commercial center of the city, with analysis in the standard NBR 9050/2004 - Accessibility to buildings, furniture, spaces and urban equipment, issued by ABNT - Brazilian Association of Technical Standards.
