PEDAGOGIA SOCIAL: uma educação transformadora

Abstract

It is through education that significant learning and knowledge takes place that allow the individual to decipher the world around him. Recognizing Social Pedagogy as a process directly inserted in social contexts, institutions come to be perceived as an important space of sociability, where students, teachers, family members and the whole community maintain strong bonds. The present work has as general objective to analyze the importance os Social Pedagogy in the context of non-formal environments and as specific objectives: to describe about formal and non-formal education; Contextualize Social Pedagogy as a transformative pedagogical practice; Recognize the importance of the social educator to achieve transformative education. The work was carried out out through a bibliographic search and systematic reading, based on studies developed by several scholars. With the results obtained, it is concluded that social pedagogy is based on educational praxtices based on the commitment to social reality. Its practices significantly interfece in the community where it operates.
