Abstract

The following work presents a case study of scaffolding of a deep pile foundation, which will be performed in a landfill accentuated on soft or very soft soils and therefore will be exposed to stresses not coming from the superstructure, in this case, lateral stresses in depth ( Lateral thrust of the ground). The foundation project will be carried out from the cargo plant and the SPT survey reports of a non-existent shed to be executed in the city of Taubaté SP, where the foundation chosen for the work is a continuous monitored propeller type. In this study, it is sought to know the different calculation methods to estimate the lateral efforts of the soil, as well as the recommendations and hypotheses of each author, necessary information regarding the location of the foundation's implantation. The methods chosen to estimate the lateral thrust of soil were those of Tschebotarioff, De Beer-Walays, Oteo and Ratton. In order to calculate the acceptable geotechnical load of the foundation applied to the methods of Aoki-Velloso (1975), Décourt-Quaresma (1978) and Teixeira (1996), for the permissible structural load of the stake was used the catalog of the company Geofix fundações.
