CRIAÇÃO DO SITE: Conhecendo a Hidrocefalia

Abstract

The project to be developed will be a site with the theme Hydrocephalus, a rare disease that has little visibility and knowledge before Brazilian society and the media. Its main objective is to promote the visibility and knowledge of this disease through the website. The importance of the theme of the project is to bring people and family members a little more knowledge about the hydrocephalus disease, because when it is discovered that their son or daughter is born with this syndrome, it has a great impact because it is a rare disease and for not having much space in the media yet. When searching for the disease on the internet, most often extreme cases of hydrocephalus appear that are not common. This frightens family members. It is intended, with the creation of the site, to show that this is not always the case. There are cases of hydrocephalus in which the child has a normal life, with only a few limitations. The type of research used will be descriptive, due to the technique that will be used, and qualitative, through interviews with physicians, physiotherapists, and speech therapists and family members. The purpose of the site was achieved since it was found that it had large amount of favorable viewing. In addition, the mothers who accessed it and those who gave the interview thanked her for their creation, finding it very explanatory and complete.
