Abstract

This paper deals with and analyzes Restorative Justice as an alternative instrument of conflict resolution and the transformation and pacification of social relations. Such an approach is necessary because the current punitive model can no longer punish offenders effectively, nor can victims be guaranteed a state response. The purpose of this is to demonstrate the effectiveness of Restorative Justice in pacifying social relationships, helping to recover the emotional damage of the victim and helping the transgressor to understand the consequences of their actions. This purpose will be achieved through research, comparison with current punitive model and case study. The present study highlights the social problems in which the alternative restorative method transforms, as well as makes justice a resolving process, reducing the likelihood of recurrence.
