FORMAÇÃO INICIAL CONTINUADA DE PROFESSORES: diante de uma nova profissionalidade docente

Abstract

This study deals with the initial and continuing education of teachers. The theme is justified by the relevance of the theme in view of the complexity of the teaching action, especially nowadays. Thus, the work investigates the legal principles of Brazilian education, augmented by the foundation of theorists in the area, and also identifies the evolution of teaching practice in contact with other professionals. This will be done through a bibliographic review of scientific works and articles. The concern with the better qualification of initial teacher education and with their conditions for professional practice is not recent and has been widely discussed in the academic world, generating a vast literary production. Its importance lies in the space to be appropriated in Brazil. Therefore, understanding and discussing the education, working conditions and career of teachers becomes important for understanding and discussing the educational quality of the country.
