ELABORAÇÃO DO PROJETO ARQUITETÔNICO AUTOSSUSTENTÁVEL DA NOVA SEDE DA MATRIZ DE SANTA CLARA EM VARGINHA, MINAS GERAIS

Abstract

The term sustainability has occupied more and more space in recent years. Consumption of water and energy is constantly increasing, and it is known that these are exhaustible resources. This led to the need to design a self-sustaining architectural project for the new headquarters of the Santa Clara Matrix, as the current matrix can not meet the users basic needs. In view of the above, the following question arises: Can a self-sustaining project be developed that addresses religious buildings? The qualitative methodology was used, through bibliographical research and survey of the needs that the physical space must provide for the celebration and accomplishment of events. Four project proposals were analyzed, with the intention of collaborating in the elaboration of the project. In addition, topographic, climatic surveys and needs programs were part of the project development process. Indeed, with this research it was observed that the criteria raised for the elaboration of the program of needs were not only meeting the needs of the parish, but also meeting the needs of society.
