A IMPORTÂNCIA DO ESTUDO DA CULTURA AFRO-BRASILEIRA DENTRO DAS ESCOLAS

Abstract

This work deals with the racial prejudice that exists in society and how to fight it through education. Such an approach is justified due to the large racial prejudice that exists in Brazil, despite being a country with great cultural diversity, formed from different people, however, this situation can be changed through education. The purpose of this article is to discuss the importance of working with Afro-Brazilian culture and racial differences inside the schools, particularly in the early years, as a means of combating prejudice. This purpose will be achieved by literature review of books and scientific articles related to the topic. The study found that children, even not knowing clearly the concept of prejudice, they practice it by several influences and to combat it is necessary to insert a work related to racial issues within schools, especially in the initial years, when are still being built the notions of right and wrong.
