REQUALIFICAÇÃO DA ÁREA QUE ABRIGA A ESTAÇÃO FERROVIÁRIA DE VARGINHA: Projeto de uma feira livre de artes, artesanatos, cultura e lazer

Abstract

The following work presents the study of a proposal for the requalification of the environment that houses the Varginha Railway Station with the creation of a fair free of arts, crafts, culture and leisure. The Railway Station is an important Industrial Heritage listed of the municipality, which represented a time of great development and prosperity. Today, with rare exceptions, the surroundings of the station are unused and abandoned, and especially after the closure of the railway and commercial activities in the surroundings. For a proposal that would bring life back to this space, it was necessary to read the diagnosis of the area of study and a deep theoretical basis on the subject and of reference project analysis. Thus, it was possible to elaborate this project of requalification of the surroundings that shelter the station, and to offer a quality urban space accessible to all population, promoting the development of various cultural and leisure activities, integrating people in urban space, arousing the feeling of belonging and appreciation of cultural identity.
