PROPOSTA PROJETUAL DE UM CENTRO DE ARTES E CULTURA NA REGIÃO CENTRAL DA CIDADE DE VARGINHA-MG COMO INSTRUMENTO DE REQUALIFICAÇÃO URBANA

Abstract

This paper presents a research project and proposal design of a cultural space in the heart of the city of Varginha-MG, aimed at upgrading the space, as well as the encouragement and promotion of practices and artistic activities as a way of valuing culture and heritage, which will help to strengthen and broaden the understanding of diversity and their languages. Thus, taking into account the lack of spaces related to these goals in the city, the proposal is presented as important instrument where the individual is seen as protagonist in the production of a cultural identity in your own time and space. Given this, the research was divided into three parts: the first discusses the theoretical basis necessary for the understanding of the issues surrounding the topic. Then the second part brings an analysis and diagnosis of the area of intervention as a way to understand the urban space and its characteristics. Finally, in the third part, a volumetric study and conceptual design proposal. As a result, you can highlight the contribution of this research to broaden the discussion about the impact of architecture on the use of urban space, asset valuation, as well as of art as a tool capable of enabling the formation of citizens more critics, capable of understanding and resign your own culture, your city.
