JORNALISMO COMUNITÁRIO: uma alternativa para dar voz às comunidades subalternas

Abstract

This study will analyze and discuss media blackout for the issues of subaltern communities, which are groups of people living in a situation of exploitation and seeking a dignified life with better conditions. An important analysis since, it tries to discuss the influence that the media has on the life of the people and the power relation that it builds and that guides their actions. In addition, the present paper will bring community journalism as an important instrument of social mobilization and an alternative to give voice to these groups. This task will be achieved through bibliographic reviews of influential authors on the subject such as Raquel Paiva, Eni Ernandi Puccineli, Noam Chomsky and others. Through this research it is intended to show how important it is for the mass media to give a space so that people can approach their problems without silencing the struggles of the subaltern classes when addressing subjects that may cover their own interests.
