Abstract

The use of rainwater is a little used in Brazil, but it is a method that can reduce the consumption of portable water, favoring the reduction of financial expenses, reducing floods in cities, and being a strong tool to combat the lack of water. of water. This work aimed to develop a rainwater utilization project for the company's warehouse General Warehouses East Mine in Varginha. Firstly, a search was started in magazines, websites, norms and technical literature in general, in order to synthesize the theoretical concepts necessary for the elaboration of the project, always looking for a way to minimize the costs with its initial implementation. Subsequently, it started to collect rainfall incidence data in the studied region, existing warehouse projects were analyzed, company visits and interviews with employees and directors for a better analysis of the situation, thereby determining the potential to capture rainwater for coverage. The next step was to size and verify: the gutters, vertical and horizontal conductors, the drainage, the reservoirs, the pumps and finally the distribution network, so that the project was developed to evaluate the feasibility of adoption. technique.
