Abstract

This work addresses the challenges in teaching autistic children. Such an approach is due to the fact that nowadays Autism Spectrum Disorder (TEA) is a subject more known and debated by society, and with that there was an increase of children diagnosed with this disorder, which also increases the number of children diagnosed within schools. Therefore, these children need some attention in the teaching-learning process, as they have some special educational needs that depend on good teaching work for the success of these students, thus arising the need to think about the challenges found in teaching these children in school, so that there can be changes in attitudes towards the realization of a truly inclusive education. The purpose of this research is to identify the challenges of the teaching-learning process of autistic children in regular education. This aim will be achieved through bibliographic research. The research showed that a large part of the challenge of these children with ASD in regular education is the lack of commitment from the school community and the school and mainly the insufficient training of teachers.
