| Title: | ACIDENTE VASCULAR CEREBRAL NA PANDEMIA POR COVID-19 |

| metadata.dc.description.resumo: | O novo coronavírus (SARS-CoV-2), pertencente à família Coronaviridae e com semelhança genética ao SARS-CoV-1, é caracterizado como um grave problema de saúde pública, atualmente oferecendo riscos para todas as idades pois, além de afetar o sistema respiratório, também é capaz de acometer outros órgãos e sistemas podendo acarretar na ocorrência de outras patologias, como o Acidente Vascular Cerebral (AVC). Desta forma, o presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar a relação entre o COVID-19 e o AVC. Para isto, foi realizada uma pesquisa no banco de dados eletrônicos MedLine no período de agosto a novembro de 2020. Durante estes quatro meses de pesquisas, foi determinado que ainda são necessários mais estudos para efetivamente confirmar que o AVC é de fato uma complicação decorrente do COVID-19. Diante deste quadro, estes resultados poderão incentivar mais pesquisadores a realizarem mais estudos à respeito da correlação entre estas duas patologias, pois, apesar de constarem muitos estudos, ainda restam lacunas a serem preenchidas, dentre elas o tratamento, letalidade, e incapacidades dos infectados. |
| Abstract: | The new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), belonging to the Coronaviridae family and with genetic similarity to SARS-CoV-1, is characterized as a serious public health problem, currently offering risks for all ages because, in addition to affecting the respiratory system, it is also capable of affecting other organs and systems and may cause other pathologies, such as stroke. Thus, the present study aimed to analyze the relationship between COVID-19 and stroke. For this, a search was performed in the electronic database MedLine from august to november 2020. During these three months of research, it was determined that further studies are still needed to effectively confirm that stroke is in fact a complication resulting from COVID-19. In view of this situation, these results may encourage more researchers to carry out more studies regarding the correlation between these two pathologies, because, although there are many studies, there are still gaps to be filled, including the treatment, lethality, and disabilities of the infected. |
