SEMEL: o esporte como fomentador do desenvolvimento urbano sustentável

Abstract

The sports complex of the city of Varginha, although active, presents nonconformities in its infrastructure that harm the athletes and employees of the Municipal Secretary of Sport and Leisure (SEMEL). The population of the city little knows its successes in the national sports scene, this can be altered with the change of the spatial configuration - objective of this essay. After theoretical research in the main scientific articles (for lack of other materials and sources compatible with the intentions of discourse) that involve the relationship between citizen, sport and architecture, the diagnosis obtained a basis for what should be observed, besides the elements customary. These steps helped in the selection of case studies for theoretical reference, which, in turn, had influence on the form, implementation and construction of the concept and the party of the proposal presented as a result of this study. The sports theme combined with a park is little commented, so the scarcity of material, but it shows itself an interesting idea, especially for the area of study.
