A IMPORTÂNCIA DO SISTEMA DE PRODUÇÃO JUST IN TIME NAS ORGANIZAÇÕES

Abstract

This is a study of the Just In Time (JIT) philosophy of manufacturing administration, focusing on improving the production process on quality and productivity gains as a strategy to help a company achieve and / or maintain a competitive advantage in cost. Just in time, in addition to being a production system, is a philosophy that involves logistics throughout the production chain. It is present from planning, logistics, physical arrangement, and others. However, its main focus is on reducing waste from inventories, moving towards zero waste. Thus, the objective of this work will be to identify and point out the importance of the Just in time (JIT) system in organizations as well as its philosophy. The proposed methodology is a bibliographic search based on published material, consisting mainly of books, magazines, articles and materials made available in electronic media. The research will be based on a descriptive and exploratory study. And the realization of it is to verify and present the importance of the topic today, addressing an idea that demonstrates in a synthetic and schematic way the main steps of the present study. It is concluded that JIT is a Japanese philosophy whose central objective is the application of Just in Time, which if well applied contributes to the reduction of waste, either in time or raw material, as well as in the identification of new ways of perform certain tasks, aiming at increasing the productivity and quality of the final product or even the services provided.
