REQUALIFICAÇÃO PARQUE MUNICIPAL PADRE VITOR

Abstract

This work is a proposal of requalification of the Municipal Park Padre Vitor, for the city of Varginha, MG. The choice of this theme was due to the state of abandonment that the Park is, since the place is of great importance for the community. In order to attend to these problems, the degradation stage of the park areas, the analysis of the peculiarities of the terrain and the users' needs and expectations were identified. The objective is to elaborate a project of requalification of the Park, proposing diverse uses. In order to elaborate the proposal, it was carried out through a bibliographical research, documentary research, building a theoretical and design base on the subject, going to field for analysis, data collection and records and opinion research with the residents that resulted in a needs program and implementation of a project to requalify this area. It is concluded that the environmental vulnerability, degradation and abandonment of the Municipal Park Padre Vitor is perceptible and of extreme necessity of development of practical actions to protect the Park.
