COMPARATIVO DE SUBSTITUIÇÃO ENTRE VIGAS DE CONCRETO POR VIGAS DE MADEIRA

Abstract

This work carried out a theoretical-conceptual investigation through selected bibliographic review, through published scientific articles, documents and books, to investigate the use of wood material in national constructions. In addition, it sought to understand the reasons for using wood in civil construction and the lack of use, by observing the abundance of material present in Brazilian territory, considering reforestation of wood. Therefore, a project in residential construction in the city of Campanha, Minas Gerais, was selected to carry out the comparison and replacement of the concrete beam, currently used in the work, by the wooden beam, in order to demonstrate the quality of the use of the wood material in the same building. At the end of this study, it was possible to analyze the advantage of wood as useful beams in national civil construction, so that scholars in the field of civil engineering can observe and access wood more frequently, considering possibilities and advantages of use in future projects.
