ANÁLISE COMPARATIVA DE CUSTO DE MATERIAL ENTRE ALVENARIA ESTRUTURAL E ALVENARIA CONVENCIONAL PARA RESIDÊNCIA EM SÃO LOURENÇO-MG

Abstract

This work presents a comparison of the cost of materials for the constructive methods of structural masonry and conventional reinforced concrete masonry for a residence in the city of São Lourenço-MG. In this analysis, the design of both construction methods was presented, the quantity and budget were prepared, using the SINAPI database, of the materials used. This is a relevant issue in the structural design phase, to analyze which construction system is the most economically viable. With the results obtained, there was a saving of 32,81% of the materials used in structural masonry compared to conventional masonry, for this case study. However, it is noteworthy that the best type of structural solution goes beyond the cost of materials, as it also depends on other variables such as project size, regional location, availability of materials in the region and qualified labor, making it important know the advantages and disadvantages of each constructive model. Finally, it is concluded that for medium-sized residential buildings in the city of São Lourenço-MG the use of structural masonry is recommended.
