BIBLIOTECA PÚBLICA: Uma nova proposta para o município de Três Pontas - MG

Abstract

The present work consists in the elaboration of a new public library in the cityof TrêsPontas, Minas Gerais. Aiming to meet the needs that the current library in the citycannotmeet, improving the quality of services offered, through architecture with newfunctions,along with the use of technology that has become an ally of contemporary libraries. Tocarryout this work, a research was carried out based on the history of public libraries inBrazil andin the world, the current panorama of Brazilian public libraries, the principles andguidelinesfor the planning of libraries and case studies for design references. With this, it was possibleto arrive at a pre-project that aims to meet the needs of public equipment, through suitableandattractive environments for all groups in the community.
