O LUGAR DA LUDICIDADE NO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL – ANOS INICIAIS

Abstract

This article analyzes the place of play in the early years of Elementary School I. With the implementation of nine-year elementary school, Brazilian children go earlier to the first year. Given this reality, it is important to pay attention to the following question: what is the place that playfulness has occupied in activities carried out at school with children aged six years and over? Such consideration is justified in view of the observation that most of the times the recreational activities present in early childhood education are practically eliminated in the early years. The purpose of this study is to identify, through current legislation, the importance of playfulness in the early years of elementary school, to discuss its use and its main benefits. This purpose will be achieved through a bibliographic review, which consists of appropriating scientific publications in journals, books, conference proceedings, among others. The research clarifies that, despite the wide dissemination of the need, importance and benefits that playfulness can provide to children, as a right to learning, enriching in the school context, it is possible to see advantages of children going to school earlier, however, if the need to expand the playful character of teaching in the early years of elementary school.
