Abstract

This work analyzes the challenges of intellectual property in the digital environment. Such an approach is necessary given that the increasing digitalization of business activities has made it easier to create, share and disseminate intellectual assets, but has also increased vulnerability and other threats to intellectual property. The objective of this research is to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of intellectual property in the digital environment and explore the importance of protecting intellectual property assets in a constantly evolving digital environment, highlighting the current limitations of this process and the challenges that the digital era imposes. This attempt will be achieved through bibliographical review such as research in articles from scientific journals and academic books. The research demonstrated the advantages and disadvantages of intellectual property in the digital context, for example, respectively, the ability to reach a global audience quickly and efficiently, as well as concerns about the privacy, protection, collection and storage of personal data in the environment digital.
