PRIVACIDADE E MONITORAMENTO: análise de episódios da série Black Mirror

Abstract

The present work came to analyze three episodes of the British show Black Mirror (2011), created by Charlie Brooker, presenting the influence of technology on privacy and monitoring in our rotine in which our personal data go through a process of vulnerability, principally with the internet access. In this context, the first section of the article will present some tools for film analysis, based on authors JULLIER and MARIE (2012), and will present an overview of the issue of surveillance and monitoring in digital media in the light of BARRICHELLO and MOREIRA (2015) and LEVY (1999) and finally the article will propose the analysis of the episodes Arkangel, Shut Up and Dance and The Entire History of You. Therefore, the research can be defined as qualitative descriptive bibliography. The research was able to identify that the series is a caricature about the possible problems that people face to privacy and monitoring, but it reveals that the relations between human and technology are increasingly problematic.
