Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the importance of controlling in business management. In order to achieve this purpose, this article addresses the definitions of Padovese (2005), Oliveira (1998), Nascimento e Reginato (2009) in order to define what is controller and its functions, what is its importance in business management and how this sector is used in organizations. This area seeks to examine the external environment of the company, its internal environment and how these remain in balance, uniting methods, techniques and knowledge about organizational management.
