Abstract

This article will examine the importance of good management of the company's stock management to ensure profits and avoid waste. Such an approach is justified, since many companies today because they do not have a good stock management, end up having relevant damages that can cause in the closing of the company, therefore, it is the responsibility of the managers of the company and its leaders to be attentive with this question. This study aims to identify elements about the importance of good inventory management for the success of a company presenting relevant points to maintain the profitability of the company and the satisfaction of its customers. In this perspective the work will be developed through a bibliographical research of articles, theses, books and a case study at the Machado Agricultural Cooperative, located in the city of Machado in the State of Minas Gerais. At the end of the study, the impacts of poor inventory management and the concepts applied to change the company's course were evident, in which the store was found to be poorly managed and monitored the sales and exits of inventories. losses to the company. After a meeting with the fiscal council, urgent changes were requested or the closure of the store, at this moment the directors decided to hire an administrator and soon thereafter change the management of the store, where they could identify the problem and recover a good part of the capital that was invested in the company's stock through good management and new ideas to sell the products that were once stranded on store shelves.
