| metadata.dc.description.resumo: | Cosmético é todo produto aplicado sobre a superfície do corpo com a finalidade de limpar, embelezar ou modificar a sua aparência. O aumento da busca pela beleza, especialmente pelas mulheres, mas também pelos homens, levou ao incremento de produtos cosméticos segmentados, com produtos também para a pele infantil e negra. O objetivo deste trabalho foi abordar as alergias causadas por cosméticos, pois, apesar da ampla utilização de cosméticos, os eventos adversos estão presentes. Essa revisão enfocou a imunologia, a fisiopatologia e a hipersensibilidade à cosméticos. Em busca da beleza imposta pela sociedade globalizada, muitas pessoas utilizam os cosméticos sem considerar a composição química, indicação e a validade dos mesmos. Os cosméticos utilizados criteriosamente podem produzir efeitos benéficos contribuindo com a autoestima e a saúde das pessoas. |
| Abstract: | Cosmetic is any product applied on the surface of the body for the purpose of cleaning, beautifying or modifying its appearance. The increase in the search for beauty, especially for women, but also for men, has led to the increase of segmented cosmetic products, with products also for children's and black skin. The objective of this work was to address allergies caused by cosmetics, because, despite the wide use of cosmetics, adverse events are present. This review focused on immunology, pathophysiology, and hypersensitivity to cosmetics. In search of the beauty imposed by the globalized society, many people use cosmetics without considering the chemical composition, indication and the validity of the same ones. Carefully used cosmetics can produce beneficial effects, contributing to people's self-esteem and health. |
