VIABILIDADE TÉCNICA E ECONÔMICA DO USO DO GÁS NATURAL VEICULAR COMPARADO AO USO DE GASOLINA EM VEÍCULOS AUTOMOTORES

Abstract

This work compares the use of two types of fuels (natural gas and gasoline) in motor vehicles. Such an approach is given to the economic factor, because, given constant fluctuations in fuel prices, and natural gas would be a great alternative for the replacement of gasoline. The objective of this research is to demonstrate the advantages and disadvantages of this conversion, leading the user to a position on the subject, to a possible future conversion. This purpose will be obtained from the comparative research of both fuels, will be evaluated technical, economic, environmental, engine running and wear, thus showing the positives and negatives concerning the change. In addition to the theoretical research, there will be presentation of real data provided by companies responsible for this type of conversion in automotive vehicles. At first, such substitution could be beneficial, as it is a fuel with a price below gasoline, lower consumption per kilometer rotated and presents a lower emission rate of pollutants compared to gasoline.
