ANÁLISE TÉCNICA DE UM SECADOR ESTÁTICO DE CAFÉ

Abstract

This work analyzes the use of a static dryer in the coffee drying process, seeking to justify the equipment as a good investment. Such an approach is essential considering the current economic scenario, where it is necessary to increase productivity by optimizing the application of resources. In this way, the ideal is to find solutions that help reduce production costs, using efficient equipment to increase the quality of coffee and also to facilitate the life of the coffee grower. The objective of this work is to analyze the technical viability of the implantation of a static grain dryer, evaluating the mode of operation, energy efficiency and final product quality. This purpose was obtained from bibliographic research followed by a case study regarding the general analysis of the equipment. Every theoretical basis was acquired in books, websites and magazines specialized in coffee culture. Some tests were performed on the static dryer, respecting the work parameters proposed by the manufacturer. The results achieved were simple operation and maintenance and small demand of labor to carry out the drying process. The machine has high energy efficiency, considering the low power of the installed electrical components. And since properly operated it delivers a product of regular quality. It is concluded that, by analyzing the equipment in general, the static dryer is a viable investment, however, attention should be paid to some points to be improved.
