CENTRO DE DESENVOLVIMENTO INTEGRADO: Uma Nova Escola Pública

Abstract

This work deals with the construction of a full-time educational center. Such an approach is necessary to meet the state and national plans of education that encourage the increase of the period of stay of the students in the school, expanding the pedagogical base and offering sports and cultural options that promote citizenship. The purpose of this work is to elaborate the project of a public school building for full-time elementary education. This objective will be reached through a bibliographical review and a case study of the Rubens Garcia Elementary School in the city of Machado / MG, which integrates the full-time student project of the State of Minas Gerais and the Miguel Archangel School case study in the city Of Belo Horizonte / MG, which works with the Waldorf education system. The analysis showed the lack of spaces for specific uses, the lack of accessibility, the acoustic comfort and furniture necessary for the expansion of school attendance from the regular period to the integral, in addition to demonstrating the need to create new spaces.
