TERMINAL URBANO: Município de Monsenhor Paulo-MG

Abstract

The dynamism of cities requires constant movement of people by means of transportation, an urban terminal has the function of receiving the loading and unloading facilities and also provides support to the operation activities of the transportation system and favors the induction or consolidation of the regionalization of activities urban economics. Monsignor Paulo is a small town where there is no suitable place for this purpose. In this context, this TCC Course Conclusion Work starts from the assumption that the design of an urban terminal according to precepts of architecture and urbanism allows to produce an integrating element of the urban mobility and transport network, making this city the object of study. Such a project will improve the quality of life of locals and other users who use buses as a means of transportation. The TCC, subsidizing itself of research, reports and surveys that guide the development of the same, rescues this construction as an expression of the current architecture, disposing in favor of the population that, is the main focus, and ventures to solve each raised problem by the same, in the best possible way. Considering all the points reviewed, the guidelines considered and the main problems already thought, this project aims to clarify the need for an urban terminal in the city of Monsenhor Paulo, both to meet commercial demand as well as leisure service. It is an attempt to integrate the different modalities of transport, providing harmony with the environment, comfort and applying the concept of accessibility.
